Piece by piece, I was chipping away.

Crumbling were my walls with their layers of brick and grit.

I felt the sunlight peeking through the cracks, illuminating my inner darkness.

Warmth filled my being, and I sent a silent thank you to the ones that held the hammer.

This is how I’ve felt lately, with the people that surround me being the biggest reason for me to smile.  They are the hammer to my brick wall that I have built up over the years of pain.

I am starting a new section of my blog called Writing Reality, in which I share some of my smaller writings that relate to every day life.  Some of which may be personal, and others may just be random thoughts within my head.
